The US presidential election in 2024 will be closely watched around the world as the importance of democratic values play out at the voter’s booth. This program will take a closer look at how US elections function and what they will mean for America’s democracy going forward.

Fake News continues to play a role in this process and we will give educators a practical tool box for dealing with this topic in the classroom.

· Participants become more familiar with current US topics and how they relate to American culture

· and politics.

· Participants develop language skills by listening to native speaker English on political issues.

· Participants gain access to pedagogical tools necessary for combating misinformation and fake news in the classroom.

· Rolle der Fake News in der Berichterstattung bei politischen Ereignissen

· Umgang mit Nachrichten im Unterricht und die Entwicklung des Medienbewusstseins der Schülerinnen und Schüler

· 

Lehrkräfte im Fach Englisch an Gymnasien, Berufschulen, Förderschulen und Oberschulen

Der Workshop wird in englischer Sprache durchgeführt.
